Two Aussies, a respect for 43 Colorado acres and a dream worth building.
We're Ash and Dan, Australians who fell completely in love with Colorado and decided to do something about it. Buena Vista Farm is our answer to that love: 43 acres of high-country land in the Arkansas River Valley, surrounded by 14,000-foot peaks and some of the most extraordinary scenery anywhere on earth.
We came here with a shared love of skiing, hiking, mountain landscapes, country living and honest work. Buena Vista Farm grew from that, and from a belief that places like this should be shared.

Why We're Here
There's something about the high country that changes you. The scale of the peaks. The stillness at first light. The way the valley opens up when you come over the pass. We found it here in Buena Vista, and it's addictive.
Building Buena Vista Farm has been about creating a place that honours that feeling, for our family, for our guests, the locals, and for anyone who makes the drive up US HWY 24 and wonders what's down our gravel road.
Our Vision
Our dream for Buena Vista Farm is simple: to make it a place that locals or visitors from all over the world return to, visit by visit, year after year. A farm with purpose, where guests can connect with the land, our animals, and experience the extraordinary natural world right on our doorstep.
The Arkansas River runs nearby, home to some of the finest fly fishing and white-water rafting in the United States. The Collegiate Peaks rise to over 14,000 feet above our pastures. And right here on the farm, there are goats to meet, cheese to taste, and evenings around a fire that you won't forget.
This is Buena Vista Farm. We built it for you.

Mt. Harvard, Mt. Yale, Mt. Princeton, and Mt. Oxford, four of Colorado's iconic 14ers, are all visible from the farm. One of the most dramatic panoramas in the American West.

Minutes from the farm, the Arkansas River offers world-class fly fishing and some of the best white-water rafting in the United States. A natural playground for every season.

A small, genuine Colorado mountain town at 8,000 feet elevation. Great food, warm people, and the kind of place that gets under your skin and stays there.
We'd love to welcome you to the farm. Come for the cheese, stay for the mountains, leave with something you can't quite describe.
